JESS HAMILTON - Lead Vocals

Influenced by the powerful vocalists of the Cult, Aerosmith, The Black Crows, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, U2, Train, R.E.M., Squeeze, and the Police, a wanna be musician is created. Uniquely ungifted when it come to rhythm and/or musical instruments, Jess is stuck on the microphone (cordless, thank you very much). Previously with groups such as the Roustables, Ripchord, and most recently Slacker, Jess belts out the lyrics with an intensity that is surrounded by reckless abandon. "Dunno why, but I've always been able to carry a tune and I dig watching the musical magic happen. Though its more than that; To have the freedom to connect with the audience in those "moments" is surreal. To be a ringleader and general dork is priceless-and I'll never take it for granted." What’s in my IPOD? New stuff: Blue October, Train, Counting Crows, Buckcherry, Ryan Adams...plus all the classic goodies.

ANDY VOLMER- Rhythm Guitar, Lead and Backing Vocals

Andy (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals) has been in numerous bands through out his many years of playing, but a few of the most recent ones were "The Slackers" (60's/70's), "Petty Thief" (a Tom Petty Tribute) and "Budokan" (Cheap Trick Tribute). Andy has been heavily influenced by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty but Cheap Trick has always been #1 on the list. Andy plays Rhythm guitar and accentuates the bands symmetry with his lead and harmony vocals, but when the moon is just right, Andy has been known to venture out and explode with one of his patented lead guitar licks of his own! His primary axes are a Blonde Fender 50s Re-Issue Telecaster and a Black ESP Ron Wood Signature Telecaster but Andy sometimes uses a Fireglow Rickenbacker 360 and a Red Gibson ES-135 w/ P-90's, too. Amplifying his incredible tone is a Don Butler modded Vox AC-15 (mid 90's Korg re-issue) and sometimes a mid 80's Fender Concert, which helps replicate that powerful, electrifing guitar driven sound weve all learned to expect from the HiWatt crew.

THERON ANDREWS - Lead Guitar, Lead and Backing Vocals

Freshly back from a stint in the witness protection program in Houston, Theron's performed in a ton of bands over the years, including stints in New Frontier, The Substitutes, Three Hour Tour, Soul Control and Lynzee, an original metal act in the City Of Angels. He's completely stoked to be back with Hiwatt and can be found on stage generally causing trouble and kicking over Jess' water at every opportunity. Growing up in Orange County California, he played in numerous bands, too many to mention let alone remember. Theron has a plethora of experience playing in clubs A strapping young lad, Theron plays a beautiful pair of Paul Reed Smith Custom 24s, along with a Goldtop Les Paul Classic, a brown Hamer Explorer as well as a variety of cool Fender axes through a custom (re)built Fender Twin (original Blackface specs, baby!!!) The last time we looked, he's got so many dang effect pedals we can't even begin to name them all!! Theron calls West Seattle home, much to the consternation of his neighbors.

SID ANSCHELL - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

Sid has always lived in Washington and has been playing bass around the state since age 13. Starting on drums at age nine, Sid switched to bass at 13 out of necessity (so many guitar players and drummers and no other kids in school played bass). He played cover tunes up to age 20 and then switched to original bands for the next 18 years while trying to make it in "the biz". Realizing that the only way he could truly live the life of a rock star, Sid went back to his roots playing with cover tunes bands in his late 30s where he played with Slydeways for four years before recently joining HiWatt. Sid loves his many basses and collects them with a passion, but you'll never see him come close to a microphone as he has a rare medical condition that has left him allergic to any voice amplifying electronics.

TOD HOBART - Drums, Backing Vocals

Tod was born and raised in the Seattle area, a rarity in this day and age!! He’s been playing since he first picked up a pair of sticks at around the age of 10. He joined his first band at 13 and has been gigging and recording, steadily, since he was 17. Influenced heavily by the Seattle music "boom" of the early 90s by bands such as Alice in Chains, War Babies, Son of Man, Candlebox, Sweetwater, and others, Tod as recorded for local artists Good Boy Bren, The Springs, Small Alien, Patrick Storedahl, Discovery, and Held Under. He decided to “sell his soul” in 2004 and joined the hard rockin cover band “Hair Nation” and toured up and down the West Coast (and all points in between) with them until mid 2007. A friend of a friend hooked HiWatt up with Tod and it’s been pure “marital bliss” since he joined us in March of 2008.
